Pump Hill Housing Market
Although the housing market now known as Pump Hill has been around since 1967, it has only been recognised as its own community since 1991. Before that, real estate in Pump Hill was considered part of neighbouring Palliser. Since then, the area has only become more exclusive and it is a refuge for Calgary's upper class. The name Pump Hill is taken from an old windmill that operated in the area. The windmill used to pump water for the homes around the neighbourhood and in turn lent its name to the new community.
Although there are a number of semi-detached properties and some townhouses available in Pump Hill, they are few and far between. The vast majority of homes in the area consist of luxurious condominiums and vast single-family detached homes. Many of the area's most expensive Pump Hill homes for sale are grouped around the Glenmore Reservoir, making the most of the fabulous natural scenery.

Amenities that make buying a Pump Hill home a popular option include the series of paths and walkways that connect the area to the Glenmore Reservoir.
