Kingsland Housing Market
The land now known as Kingsland was annexed to the city of Calgary in 1956 and real estate housing market development began in 1957. There was a large period of development and urbanization in Calgary for much of the 50's and 60's and Kingsland was carefully planned to be both pleasing on the eye and full of services and amenities for its residents. Although development in the area has slowed down in recent times, the infrastructure and homes in the area have all been built to complement the natural aesthetic beauty of the area rather than to stand apart from it.
Bordered to the north by Glenmore Trail, to the south by Heritage Drive, to the east by Macleod Trail and to the west by Elbow Drive, Kingsland is a family-friendly neighbourhood that has everything a family would need right on its doorstep.
As a result of its ideal location and access to major transport routes throughout the city, Kingsland has long been popular amongst professionals and families alike. Just over half of the Kingsland homes are apartments and condominium buildings with a mix of single-family detached homes, semi-detached homes and townhomes making up the rest. The range of options available to buyers makes Kingsland particularly diverse since it offers housing options for any demographic.
