For those thinking about buying a lakefront home in this neighbourhood, there are a few key benefits to the market. The real estate market in this area is rather warm. That is, homes are valuable, and prices are holding steady. The average sold price of a home near the water in this area is $486,000 as of March of 2019. Over the last year, that has changed about 1 percent. Home buyers may expect their home to be affordable and likely to maintain its value long term.
The inventory here is moderate with about 55 homes for sale. This is about average for the region. Being near the lake, it is also important to know this is a highly desirable place to buy a home. With new developments and a wide range of existing homes for sale, it takes about 40 to 50 days for a home to sell on the open market. Students attend Chestermere High School. There are several Catholic schools here as well. This city is a part of the Calgary Catholic School District. In the city, Our Lady of Wisdom and St. Gabriel the Archangel are among the options. For students leaving high school, there are post-secondary options nearby, though not within the city itself. Many students attend universities in Calgary for these goals.
