To get there, take any of the side roads south of Spruce Meadows, or Macleod Trail or Deerfoot Trail south from the city to Dunbow Road. Dunbow Road is the main thoroughfare through De Winton. This subdivision was planned with the horse lover in mind, and offers bridle paths, equestrian fencing, beautifully landscaped boulevards, architecturally controlled building and a school. There are still plenty of hobby farms, horse operations and equestrian centres, a few cattle operations and country dog kennels in this community. Bed and Breakfast homes are also popular in the De Winton area.
