Real estate development in the area now known as Palliser officially began in 1967. Originally, this housing market included the area of Pump Hill. This was the case until as recently as 1991, when Pump Hill was separated and established as a standalone community. Palliser is named after the explorer Captain John Palliser, a Canadian explorer and renowned geographer who travelled much of Western Canada in the 1800's.
Despite having the same strong reputation as neighbouring Pump Hill and Bayview, prices in the area are generally more affordable. There is a wide mix of Palliser homes for sale and most family types are provided for.
