The history of the Montgomery real estate market is longer than that of most modern Calgary neighbourhoods. In fact, it was known as Shouldice before the name was changed in 1943. The area was established as far back as 1911, and it was pretty much its own town until it was annexed by the City of Calgary in the early 1960's.
