The Citadel real estate market was developed in 1993. The community is laid out in a circular shape with roads forming an imaginary wheel with spokes. Stoney Trail forms the northern and southern borders of the neighbourhood while Sarcee Trail is to the east and Country Hills Boulevard is to the west.
