Royal Oak Housing Market
Established in 1998, the Royal Oak real estate market was annexed from Rocky View's municipal district to the City of Calgary in 1989. Development in this area began in 1995.
About a kilometre west of Stoney Trail, Royal Oak is located east of Rocky Ridge Road and north of Crowchild Trail. A road with direct access to Stoney Trail, which connects Royal Oak to the Trans-Canada Highway located west of the Canada Olympic Park, will soon be available.
Townhouses, single-family homes, and low- and mid-rise condominium units in Royal Oak have been designed in a range of various styles for sale. Royal Oak Neighbourhood Amenities
Quick access to LRT services, the Royal Oak Shopping Centre, and a toboggan hill near Royal Oak School are only some of the amenities enjoyed by Royal Oak home owners. Schools in the area are another reason that Royal Oak real estate is always in demand and they include Belvedere-Parkway Elementary, Simon Fraser Junior High and Bowness Senior High Schools. In September 2010, the Calgary Board of Education opened Royal Oak Elementary School to accommodate the students in kindergarten to grade 4 that live in Royal Oak and Rocky Ridge.
