Ranchlands Housing Market

Before the real estate market now known as Ranchlands was developed, it was a hunting ground for aboriginals and grazing land for European settlers. The area was annexed by Calgary in 1961 and established as a community in 1977. To commemorate its historical background, the park in Ranchlands features a glacial rubbing stone which geologists call an "erratic."

In fact, avid shoppers have more than enough stores and shops to cover their needs. Right next to the neighbourhood is Crowfoot Crossing and with its more than 240 shops and stores, it is one of the largest outdoor malls in Calgary.
