Strathmore Golf Club

The Canadian Pacific Railroad built and opened the Strathmore Golf Club in 1921. The course is easy to find, located about 1.5 kilometres north of Highway 1 near some of the luxury homes in Strathmore, just off Wheatland Trail. This is an 18-hole public course, although they do sell memberships for exclusive perks and benefits. It has a par of 72 and measures 6,813 yards from the longest tees. The course has some deep sand bunkers, rolling fairways, and tricky water hazards for players to navigate. 

The course has a driving range that's open daily from sunrise until 30 minutes before sunset. Players can sign up for private lessons with the course's PGA of Canada golf pro, Brad Gagne. After a round of golf, players can relax in the Stix Restaurant or on the patio. The food is standard golf clubhouse fare, like sandwiches, burgers, and salads.

Oxbow Country Golf Course

The Oxbow Country Golf Course is just northwest of Strathmore, off Township Road 244. This public nine-hole, par-36 course in the countryside measures 3,321 yards from the back tees. It has an RCGA course rating of 35.9 and a slope of 129. Every hole has water hazards of varying difficulties. Season passes to the course are reasonably priced for those who plan to play many rounds. The course doesn't have any practice facilities, but it's a good place to play a quick nine or a full 18.

Speargrass Golf Course (Carseland)

The Speargrass Restaurant is great for unwinding with a sandwich or burger after a game. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with beer, wine, and cocktails available.

It has a par of 71 and measures 6,744 yards from the longest tees. Its rating is 72.0, and its slope is 138. Tee times can be booked seven days in advance. 

Practice facilities include a driving range and a fully stocked golf shop with equipment and apparel. The Rusty Putter Grill serves an all-day breakfast and has a great post-game lunch and dinner menu. Although this is a public course, there is a golf dress code for the course and the driving range.

The Canal at Delacour Golf Club (Delacour)

This par-72 championship course measures 7,077 yards from the longest tees. Its rating is 74.3, and its slope is 138. The course has immaculate bent grass greens and Kentucky bluegrass fairways and tees, along with 74 strategic sand bunkers to challenge even the most careful and precise golfer.

This is a public course with memberships, and it takes very good care of players. There are washrooms at four of the holes on the course, and beverage carts as well. The 300-yard driving range has yardage posts and grass tees during the summer. The clubhouse restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and it has a separate fully licensed lounge for drinks.

Practice facilities at The Track include a driving range, chipping range, and putting range. Lessons are also available from the course pro. The BackTrack Restaurant in the clubhouse has an executive chef who prepares upscale meals for golfers and visitors.
