Chestermere Regional Community Association

Located on the northwest shore of Chestermere Lake, next to the Lakefront Golf Club, the Chestermere Regional Community Association (CRCA) is the largest indoor/outdoor park and rec centre available in the city. 

Among the outdoor facilities are three slo-pitch baseball diamonds and three youth-sized soccer pitches. There is also an outdoor corral exclusively used by the Chestermere Agricultural Society for events. The indoor facilities at the CRCA include ice rinks available for rent by the hour for games or special events. There are also changing rooms, showers, and public skating.

The CRCA has an indoor curling rink and a soccer pitch with artificial turf. This section is great for soccer, lacrosse, indoor baseball for spring training, roller hockey, and more. Visitors can rent the gymnasium for sporting events or even weddings, as it includes a kitchen. Residents can join the Whitecappers 50+ club at the CRCA for sporting events and socializing. 

Anniversary Park

Anniversary Park & Beach is one of the lakeside parks in Chestermere, where everyone is welcome to enjoy the water. The park is on Chestermere Lake at West Chestermere Drive and Chestermere Boulevard.

The sandy beach is the main draw during summer. Many residents come out to build sand castles, have a picnic, work on their suntans, and dip their toes in the cool waters of Lake Chestermere. 

Sit on one of the benches along the concrete boardwalk to enjoy the views. Leashed dogs are allowed in the park, but owners must pick up after them. Anglers can drop a line in the water and fish from the shore.

The fun doesn't stop after the summer at Anniversary Park. If there are long enough stretches of cold weather, the city clears an ice rink and skating path for community use. Be sure to check the ice depth ahead of time, and visitors use the rink at their own risk. 

Cove Park

Cove Park & Beach are on the far northeastern edge of Chestermere Lake. Numerous custom luxury homes line the water in this part of town. 

The sandy beach portion of this park is small, but there is enough space for a couple dozen people to enjoy it, and bank fishing is also allowed here in season.

The park's main attraction includes a replica ship play structure. Climb up to the bow of the sunken ship and safely jump off onto the poured-in-place rubber "wave" for a soft landing. Shipwrecked sailors can take shelter in a nearby play hut, and there's also a shaded structure for parents to enjoy while their little "pirates" enjoy the park. 

Other amenities here include some swings and a small log sculpture. 

Sunset Park

Sunset Park is on the eastern shore of Chestermere Lake, near East Lakeview Road and East Chestermere Drive. Swimming, fishing, and boating are allowed; as the name implies, it's a great place to watch the sunset. Access the lake easily thanks to a small boat ramp at the park's southern end. Many people also bring personal watercraft like paddle boards, sailboards, and canoes to take on the water. The shore is rocky, but paved steps lead down to the water. 

The park features sand volleyball courts and nearby picnic tables, making it an ideal place for an outing. Barbecue pits are available for grilling, and benches along the water provide a shady spot to sit and soak in the views. A forest of young trees transplanted in Sunset Park makes it a beautiful natural setting to enjoy the water. 

Dogs are allowed in the park, but owners must always keep them on a leash.

John Peake Memorial Park

John Peake Memorial Park is a large waterfront park just on the north side of the bridge in Chestermere. The Chestermere City Hall and the Chestermere Public Library are near the park's north end. 

This location offers a towering gazebo for social gatherings, parties, and weddings. Canada Day, the Water Festival, and Winterfest are significant seasonal events held each year for the community.

A paved boardwalk runs along the park, next to the water. Along with its immaculate landscaping, there's a community boat launch. During boating season, the launch is open daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. for permitting and licensing.

The staff helps ensure the boats get in and out of the water efficiently and smoothly.
