Okotoks homes for sale can be found in adult communities, town homes, and condominium developments and in new neighbourhoods. Single family homes are available in every price point. The main road through the town is appropriately called Main Street, running parallel with the river. Shopping in Okotoks is comparable to any suburban shopping area in Calgary. Every shopping need can now be met at any of the town’s local shopping centres. In addition, the town boasts 16 schools, including public, separate and private schools.

TThose who work in Calgary take Highway 2 north to the city. The Deerfoot Trail extension intersects with Highway 2 which is a quicker alternative to Macleod Trail. This new six-lane freeway has significantly reduced commute times. There is a private shuttle bus available to commuters, with drop-offs at various stops enroute to downtown Calgary.
Entertainment in Okotoks includes the Okotoks Dawgs, an amateur baseball team which plays in one of Southern Alberta’s finest municipal stadiums. The Okotoks Oilers provides fast junior hockey action during the winter.
