If you come an hour early, you can meet with the musicians and try an instrument for yourself at the Instrument Discovery Zoo. In the true spirit of The Hockey Sweater, guests are encouraged to wear a sweater for their favourite hockey team.

New Works Calgary: Sor Juana and the Silences

Sor Juana and the Silences is a reading of the texts of the eponymous Sor Juana Inéz de la Cruz, a 17th-century nun, scholar, and writer from Mexico. Her diverse writings cover topics such as feminist issues, philosophy, and the Catholic church, with both seriousness and humour. Outspoken about her views, Sor Juana was considered by many to be ahead of her time, and she was silenced near the end of her life. Helen Pridmore reads from these texts to tell the extraordinary story of Sor Juana in this two-hour program.

The 65 Roses Princess Ball

Children will receive the royal treatment at The 65 Roses Princess Ball! Dancing, face painting, and crafts are all available for the young guests. This is the first year the ball is open to both boys and girls, since Knights and Princesses alike all love a good party! All proceeds from the event will go toward Cystic Fibrosis Canada.
